FireStar is the most amazing of Spiderman's Amazing Friends.

Angelica Jones. Sure, she smells a little horsy, but I love her. Her granny died when she was thirteen, and since her mother was already dead there was nobody to do the cooking. Her dad was too tight to buy a microwave, so he was relieved when Angelica developed mutant heat powers.

At first it was difficult to keep these powers under control. But it's not like anyone ever phoned her anyway. She was ostracised by her friends when she melted their dolls' house, according to a flashback scene in "Spiderman And His Amazing Friends". And nobody asked her out unless they wanted their sausages barbecuing.

FIRE STAR'S POWERS Microwave Manipulation: Firestar can absorb microwave energy from her environment, and then project it to explode domestic animals or reheat soup. Heat forcefield that melts any projectiles aimed at her, which happens a lot because nobody likes her. When under stress she can lose control of her powers and melt or explode stuff by accident. Angelica is totally immune to any damage from microwaves, either her own or any others. But she can't work out how to programme them 'cause she's a girl.
